(1-25 of 33)SAP Review
- Ease of use
- Navigation of the site is very clean
- Integration of other business components into the commerce cloud is very helpful
- Customer service ticket items sometimes take a while
- Pricing is somewhat a bit much in my opinion
- There needs to be extensive training on how to get used to the product
Great solution for complex ERP problems.
- We can set up automated channels that can generate and Send invoices to customers from Google Clouds billing.
- We can set up different contracts according to customer agreements, which include promotions and discounts.
- It automates most clunky billing processes which can be a huge advantage.
- There are some issues with integrations. Like we have to generate an intermediate report and then feed it to SAP.
- Changing the format of the invoice is a hassle sometimes, and the online resources are good but not great.
- Time taken during migration is too long.

Fluffy Clouds for ECommerce
- Finalize the deal
- Show options to customers
- Automate the purchasing process
- Didn't always give customers and the company a chance to connect
- Slow to update
- Sales, or special offers, would be delayed
The back office framework is robust as well. Our product didn't need to ship, but if you did have a physical product or a drop shipping option this would be phenomenal.
- Personalized Customer Journeys.
- Omni-Channel Integration.
- Data-Driven Insights.
- Simplifying the customization process.
- Improved documentation.
- Greater visibility into the platform's performance.
- Centralized Data Management: SAP Commerce Cloud excels in centralizing data from various operational sectors, which is pivotal in the chemicals industry. This feature allows for better oversight and management of complex supply chains, regulatory compliance, and customer interactions. Having a single source of truth for crucial business data minimizes discrepancies and promotes informed decision-making.
- Real-Time Data Processing: The real-time data processing capability of SAP Commerce Cloud is invaluable. It aids in timely adherence to regulatory changes and helps in meeting customer demands promptly. In a sector where regulations and market conditions are ever-evolving, real-time data processing is fundamental for maintaining compliance and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- User Interface (UI): The user interface of SAP Commerce Cloud could be more intuitive. Users often find the interface to be not as user-friendly, which may require additional training to navigate efficiently. Enhancing the UI to be more intuitive could significantly shorten the learning curve and improve user satisfaction.
- Documentation and Support: Improved documentation and more readily available support could aid in addressing user issues more efficiently.
- Integration Challenges: difficulty with integrating our legacy inventory systems.
SAP Hybris a state-of-the-art E-commerce Platform
- SAP Hybris provides a true omnichannel across businesses
- SAP Hybris brings a State-of-the-Art platform to customize and extend with particular business requirements
- SAP Hybris delivers a secure and strong system to accomplish high security requirements
- The implementation of SAP Hybris requires highly trained people with previous experience to achieve success.
- SAP Hybris does not have a solution designed for small companies, it is a platform designed for medium and large companies, at least in Latam Market.
- SAP Commerce Cloud lowers manual effort, enhancing developer labor efficiency, and provides a strong content management system where we specify items, catalogs, and promotions.
- Deployments are done well, and builds are created quickly with no crashes or issues.
- SAP Backoffice and HAC are extremely useful in the daily lives of Hybris developers since they allow us to check all implementations done in each environment as well as compilations prepared and implemented in each environment.
- It's a little pricey; further cost reductions will expand product selection; also, trained operators are required.
- HAC occasionally functions extremely slowly and does not provide any problem messages; it simply gets stuck. Logging into the Backoffice for testing purposes causes a lot of trouble; it does not enable us to log in in one attempt, and the page refreshes every time we enter in the credentials.
From Hybris on premise to SAP e-commerce cloud
- SAP ERP integration
- Product search
- Adaptability to business needs
- Minor releases to avoid big releases
- Reduce complexity
Good with room for improvement
- Integration with ECC
- Decoupled front vs backoffice
- look and feel
- status order / delivery change during order processing in ECC integration in SAP CX
- backoffice too complex to admin
SAP Commerce Cloud is a great enterprise scalable solution (it is not for quick and cheap implementations)
- Integrations
- Enterprise
- Scalable
- not user friendly CMS
- Low code / No code
- Lack of development partners
Commerce Implementation for the enterprises
- Deployment
- Debugging
- Setting up environment specific variables
- Isolating and monitoring server
- Cleaner separation between different servers
- build pipeline customization
- access related issues
- troubleshooting without SAP intervention
Relook the e-commerce journey using SAP Commerce Cloud
- Commerce engine works really well and easy customization journey for end users
- Seamless integrations with SAP system at the backend
- Promotions engines are easy configurable for business users to publish the promotions
- Headless architecture helps client to have better frontend experience
- Should have some libraries in-build to create dashboards and reports
- Should have simplified flow for the oData integrations with non-SAP systems
In Searching it should give some more configuration based cockpit for the advance search configuration and custom attribute searching.
B2B content management and promotions management is very easy from business perspective and helps to reduce the dependency on the development team.
SAP Commerce Cloud in market
- B2B Commerce Handling
- SAP suite Integration
- Product Catalog Handling
- Price and Order Management
- Spartacus Raodmap
- Composable Architecture
- Agile development and deployment
Less appropriate in case of customers with lower budget and no existing SAP products. Also costly license and limited requirements may lead to customer choosing a low fee ecommerce product in market.
Embrace the monolith !
- Provide a generic solution.
- Is highly customizable.
- can be integrated with anything.
- Is quite up-to-date regarding java versions.
- The developer experience is really bad (long build time, long startup time)
- The communication around the product is really blury (roadmap, dates)
- The communication around the architecture is not direct enough, sap should embrace the modular monolith, like other do it (Shopify, doctolib ect)
- Communication around the cloud migration and pricing unlear, are we force to go to the cloud ? What if we cant affort it ?
- Delivering a package with more than 1GB is really a bit much, maybe cleanup a bit before you deliver it, you would be amused about what images and resource you find in it.
- Why delivering so many empty folder and not cleanup before ?
- After so many year, still waiting for ant to be replaced..
- the java API for impex is awfull, some api are not made for reuse.
Easy to use, Easy to learn
- Build and deployment is faster and easier
- Development is easy with service layer implementation
- Extensible and Flexible solution
- can use OOTB functionalities with little configuration
- Canceling the deployment takes a lot of time and we are helpless without SAP support
- Production deployment gets stuck and we are helpless without SAP support
- Support for OOTB issues/ deployment issue should be improved
A fantastic modern E-commerce solution!
- Intelligent selling services
- Product content management
- Order management
- An in-depth analytics dashboard could be added as a backend feature.
- Pricing can be decreased.
- Learning materials on the interface should be provided.
SAP Commerce Cloud is a great product but pricing needs to be reevaluated to make it competitive .
- End to end purchase flow
- Easy to configure promotions
- Good support
- Pricing
- Making package a bit lighter
SAP commerce cloud review by a Hybris Developer
- deployments are done quite well
- builds are created quite efficiently without any faults and errors
- the Backoffice and HAC of SAP turns out to be very helpful in the day to day tasks for the Hybris developers
- we can check for all the deployments done on each environment and the builds created and deployed on each environment
- SAP Commerce Cloud reduces the manual work thus increasing the work efficiency of developers
- logging in to the Backoffice for the testing environment creates a lot of ruckuses, it doesn't let us log in in a single attempt, the page keeps on getting refreshed every time we enter credentials.
- HAC sometimes works very slowly and doesn't show any error messages, it just gets stuck
